Sohail Akhter Joins Moleaer With 23 Years of Leading Global R&D Teams
June 8, 2022 (Carson, CA) — Moleaer, the leading nanobubble technology manufacturer, announced the appointment of Sohail Akhter as the company’s Vice President of Research and Development (R&D). Sohail will lead Moleaer’s R&D team to support continued growth in the application of nanobubble technology in more industries. Before joining Moleaer’s team, Sohail was the Head of R&D and Innovation at DECCO, a UPL company, and one of the market leaders in treatments and solutions for post-harvest washing. Prior to that, Sohail was at Avery Dennison where he led the creation of their Innovation Center in Pune, India. Sohail has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern.
When asked about his new appointment, Sohail said: “I knew about emulsion nanoparticles for coatings which led me to learn about nanobubble technology. I was very impressed by Moleaer’s unique ability to scale the technology and nanobubble benefits commercially across critical industries. There is still much to learn about nanobubbles and their unique properties, behaviors, and uses, I’m excited to lead the R&D team at Moleaer to expand the applications and provide huge economic, performance, and sustainability benefits in a wide range of industries, including agriculture, process industries, natural resource recovery, water and wastewater treatment and consumer goods.”
Nick Dyner, CEO of Moleaer, said: “We are pleased to grow Moleaer’s R&D team under the leadership of Sohail. He brings a unique background of R&D and innovation that will allow Moleaer to quickly apply new research and application opportunities to support commercial improvements and efficiencies in a broad range of industries. By filling key roles with talented and passionate professionals like Sohail, Moleaer is able to meet the demand for sustainable, chemical-free water process improvements worldwide.”
Moleaer now has over 1,700 installations of nanobubble generators in more than 32 countries and is treating more than 569 million gallons of water per day in agriculture, aquaculture, surface water, wastewater, and natural resources.

About Moleaer
MoleaerTM is an American-based nanobubble technology company with a mission to unlock nanobubbles’ full potential to enhance and protect water, food, and natural resources. Moleaer has established the nanobubble industry in the U.S. by developing the first nanobubble generator that can perform cost-effectively at municipal and industrial scale. Moleaer’s patented nanobubble technology provides the highest proven oxygen transfer rate in the aeration and gas infusion industry, with an efficiency of over 85 percent per foot of water (Michael Stenstrom, UCLA, 2017). Through partnerships with universities, Moleaer has proven that nanobubbles are a chemical-free and cost-effective solution to increasing sustainable food production, restoring aquatic ecosystems, and improving natural resource recovery. Moleaer has deployed more than 700 nanobubble generators worldwide since 2016.

About Nanobubbles
Nanobubbles are tiny bubbles, invisible to the naked eye, and 2500 times smaller than a single grain of table salt. Bubbles at this scale remain suspended in water for long periods, enabling highly efficient oxygen transfer and supersaturation of dissolved gas in liquids. Nanobubbles also treat and eliminate pathogens and contaminants of emerging concern as well as scour surfaces to break apart biofilm matrices, creating a powerful, sustainable, and chemical-free disinfectant (Shiroodi, S., Schwarz, M.H., Nitin, N. et al., Food Bioprocess Technol, 2021).
