Sebastián Sánchez Gerritsen brings specialized sales and marketing experience in agricultural irrigation to Moleaer’s global team
June 22, 2021 (Carson, CA) — Moleaer, the leading nanobubble technology company, announced today that it has appointed Sebastián Sánchez Gerritsen as Global Market Manager for Horticulture and Agriculture to lead the team in international outdoor agriculture and controlled-environment horticulture applications.
Sebastián comes to Moleaer with experience irrigation sales and marketing including development of environmentally friendly crop protection products. Prior to joining Moleaer, Sebastián has contributed to a successful series of company acquisitions with value exceeding $10 million as well as the introduction of countless new agricultural solutions while maintaining double digit yearly growth in all his previous roles.
When speaking about his new appointment, Sebastián said: “Disruptive innovations are hard to come by in such a traditional industry like agriculture and irrigation. When I first heard about Moleaer and their nanobubble technology I thought this would be a great opportunity to change and improve the way we use fresh water in agriculture. Fresh water is extremely rare; only 1% of the world’s water is fresh water and 70% of it is used in agriculture. I believe that with the Moleaer technology, we can achieve more sustainable crop production and water usage, leaving this world better than we found it for the generations to come.”
Nicholas Dyner, CEO, Moleaer, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sebastian to our international team. Moleaer’s nanobubble technology is transforming the outdoor agriculture and controlled-environment horticulture industries, and Sebastian’s experience will expand our reach of these markets globally.
Oxygen nanobubble supersaturated irrigation water improves water quality, increases crop yield and quality, reduces biofilm buildup, suppresses root diseases, and supports increased nutrient uptake. These benefits will allow cultivators to create more sustainable and resilient systems to feed the generations to come.”
This announcement follows Moleaer’s closure of a $9M Series B round of financing. This fund raise has been led by S2G Ventures’ Oceans and Seafood Fund and joined by existing investors, ADM Capital’s Cibus Enterprise Fund and Energy Innovation Capital.
Moleaer now has over 1,000 installations of nanobubble generators globally and is treating more than 225 million gallons of water per day in agriculture, aquaculture, surface water and natural resources.

About Moleaer
MoleaerTM is an American-based nanobubble technology company with a mission to unlock nanobubbles’ full potential to enhance and protect water, food, and natural resources. Moleaer has established the nanobubble industry in the U.S. by developing the first nanobubble generator that can perform cost-effectively at municipal and industrial scale. Moleaer’s patented nanobubble technology provides the highest proven oxygen transfer rate in the aeration and gas infusion industry, with an efficiency of over 85 percent per foot of water (Michael Stenstrom, UCLA, 2017). Through partnerships with universities, Moleaer has proven that nanobubbles are a chemical-free and cost-effective solution to increasing sustainable food production, restoring aquatic ecosystems, and improving natural resource recovery. Moleaer has deployed more than 700 nanobubble generators worldwide since 2016.

About nanobubbles
Nanobubbles are tiny bubbles, invisible to the naked eye and 2,500 times smaller than a single grain of table salt. Bubbles at this scale remain suspended in water for long periods, enabling highly efficient oxygen transfer of dissolved gas in liquids. Nanobubbles also treat and reduce pathogens and contaminants of emerging concern as well as scour surfaces to break apart biofilm matrices (Shiroodi, S., Schwarz, M.H., Nitin, N. et al., Food Bioprocess Technol, 2021).
