Juan Carlos Gimeno brings over 24 years of experience in agriculture technology to Moleaer’s Spain team
June 22, 2021 (Carson, CA) — Moleaer, the leading nanobubble technology company, announced today that it has appointed Juan Carlos Gimeno as Business Development Manager of Spain to support the growing agriculture market in Spain, Portugal, and other areas in Southern Europe.
Juan Carlos comes to Moleaer with over 25 years of experience in the fruit and vegetable sector with an extensive background in the postharvest and agrichemical sector. Prior to joining Moleaer, Juan Carlos has contributed to the implementation of different technological solutions focused on ensuring food safety and improving the speed of packaging fruit and vegetable products in Spain.
When speaking about his new appointment, Juan Carlos said: “I consider the agriculture sector in Spain to be an important region due to its economic, social and environmental impact. Technology plays a key role in improving the region’s agricultural and manufacturing processes. Scientific and technical advances make it possible to produce food and beverages that are better adapted to the demands of consumers in a safer way and with more sustainable and efficient production processes. I believe that Moleaer's nanobubble technology contributes to improved sustainability, agricultural competitiveness, yields, and farm incomes.”
Nicholas Dyner, CEO, Moleaer, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Juan Carlos to our team in Spain. His experience in the agri-food sector in Spain will help us scale our business in the growing market.
“The agri-food industry is steadily increasing in Spain and other southern European countries resulting in increased concerns about meeting EU Sustainable Development Goals. Moleaer’s nanobubble technology makes cultivation processes more sustainable by improving water quality, increasing crop yield, and improving irrigation system hygiene, and reducing fertilizer and chemical overuse.”
This announcement follows Moleaer’s closure of a $9M Series B round of financing. This fund raise has been led by S2G Ventures’ Oceans and Seafood Fund and joined by existing investors, ADM Capital’s Cibus Enterprise Fund and Energy Innovation Capital.
Moleaer now has over 1,000 installations of nanobubble generators globally and is treating more than 225 million gallons of water per day in agriculture, aquaculture, surface water and natural resources.

About Moleaer
MoleaerTM is an American-based nanobubble technology company with a mission to unlock nanobubbles’ full potential to enhance and protect water, food, and natural resources. Moleaer has established the nanobubble industry in the U.S. by developing the first nanobubble generator that can perform cost-effectively at municipal and industrial scale. Moleaer’s patented nanobubble technology provides the highest proven oxygen transfer rate in the aeration and gas infusion industry, with an efficiency of over 85 percent per foot of water (Michael Stenstrom, UCLA, 2017). Through partnerships with universities, Moleaer has proven that nanobubbles are a chemical-free and cost-effective solution to increasing sustainable food production, restoring aquatic ecosystems, and improving natural resource recovery. Moleaer has deployed more than 700 nanobubble generators worldwide since 2016.

About nanobubbles
Nanobubbles are tiny bubbles, invisible to the naked eye and 2,500 times smaller than a single grain of table salt. Bubbles at this scale remain suspended in water for long periods, enabling highly efficient oxygen transfer of dissolved gas in liquids. Nanobubbles also treat and reduce pathogens and contaminants of emerging concern as well as scour surfaces to break apart biofilm matrices (Shiroodi, S., Schwarz, M.H., Nitin, N. et al., Food Bioprocess Technol, 2021).
