Moleaer Launches Lake Rescue Kickstart Challenge to Help Restore U.S. Lakes with Chemical-Free Lake Nanobubble Technology
Competition to Revitalize Water Bodies in Pacific Northwest and Northeast U.S.
Hawthorne, Calif., January 20, 2025 – Moleaer Inc., the global leader in nanobubble technology, is launching of the Lake Rescue Kickstart Challenge, a competition aimed at revitalizing lakes and ponds in the Pacific Northwest and Northeast United States without the negative environmental and economic impacts of chemical treatments. The challenge addresses critical water body issues, including algal blooms and poor water clarity, and showcases the potential of nanobubble technology for sustainable aquatic restoration.
The challenge invites lake managers, municipalities, homeowner associations, and environmental organizations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Vermont to participate. With lakes increasingly affected by climate change and environmental stress, Moleaer is looking to partner with communities and integrate innovative solutions that improve water quality and aquatic ecosystem.
Nanobubble technology has a proven track record of success restoring water bodies. In the City of Lake Elsinore, California, Moleaer’s nanobubble technology was deployed to address water quality issues. Within five months, the lake showed significant improvements in water clarity and oxygen levels, which helped reduce algal blooms and improve overall ecosystem health. This project has become a model for sustainable lake restoration in the region.
"We’re seeing a growing number of EPA-impaired lakes across the U.S.,” said Chris Stephan, Global Surface Water Director at Moleaer. “These water bodies negatively impact our communities, economy and the sustainability of freshwater resources. Through the Lake Rescue Kickstart Challenge, we aim to spotlight key lighthouse projects in the Pacific Northwest and Northeast to demonstrate the effectiveness of nanobubble technology in improving water quality without the use of chemicals, inspiring others to adopt sustainable solutions."
